Public Comments

  1. it would cut down on business.
  2. Drunk people need to park also.
  3. not everybody gets blasted and drives home....
  4. No it would just result in more drunks wandering the streets at 3 am creating a ruckus while trying to remember where they parked.
  5. Not everyone that goes into a bar drinks more than they should and are perfectly fine to drive home. I'm not sure of the percentages - but I wuold say that at least 50% of bar patrons practice self-control and have one or two and are fine to drive.
  6. Well, look at it this way. If the community really cares...let them use the parking lot for a taxi stand??? Just a thought, but if they did do that, I'm certain it would encourage many people coming out that they would prefer to plop into a cab and let the driver take them home.
  7. because people need somewhere to fight...
  8. Most cities require parking lots for all businesses
  9. Yes, if people drive drunk because parking lots exist. No, because that is not the case. People will find another place to park.
  10. If the politicians keep the masses in a state of drunkenness, then the masses won't notice what the politicians are doing. It worked in the Soviet Union for decades until Gorbachev came along.
  11. that would be like saying if you stop making rubbers people would stop having sex..its silly..this is a question that way off the chart.
  12. I love these questions. There is no evidence to suggest that if we reduced parking that drunk driving would come to an end. Though cars and doctors create more deaths than handguns (notice the wording on who creates what hehe) so if we outlawed cars and doctors for sure society would be better don't you think?
  13. No--because (unbeknownst to you and other would-be morality police) very few people drink enouth to be at risk--and the ones who do have friends who aare designated drivers. The irresponsible ones will simply park elsewhere and get in their ccar and drive anyway. Here's a question for you--why do you think the solution to people doing something something you don't like is to use the law to bully them?
  14. No, it would not cut down on drunk driving. Alot of drunk people walking the streets to get to their cars. Probably more hit and runs maybe. Besides everybody that goes to a bar does not go there to get drunk. Loser.
  15. The purpose is so people have a place to park. It doesn't mean you are drunk. Does a parking lot in front of a restaurant mean the owner of the car is FAT? Would getting rid of parking lots near restaurants limit obesity? People will do what they do...it is their responsibility to control their actions.
  16. No, it saves them from having to mow the grass.
