Should I be annoyed at this: I recently moved into a new city and I'm am noticing somthing I've never noticed before I moved here. I'm a good looking, petite, professional 37 year old woman. I live and work in a nice area of town. Why do people I walk by in parking lots lock & beep their cars when I walk by? Do I seem threatining? Am I being paranoid? Why did that not happen to me before?

- Maybe you are just noticing this. I am willing to bet it is a coincidence.
- Maybe they are just trying to lock their car and it is a coincidence that it is happening when you are walking by.
- you need to get over it. people aren't doing it just because you're there, it's just coincidence.
- Yes, you are being paranoid. They beep their cars to lock them. They probably left them a short time before you came by. Your being there has nothing to do with why they car is beeping.
- i always lock/beep my car when i am out in public. i wouldnt take offense to it. you're in the city now, and it's probably a new experience
- Dumsiness. They don't realize they can lock the car from the door panel & save the battery in their remotes. They also want to be absolutely positive the car is locked. It irritates me too. Are you in Fort Dodge, Iowa?
- You're being paranoid. People lock their cars in NYC all the time, not just when you walk by.
- Depends on what city you just moved to. If you look jye suspicious then that would be a reason
