Would you support a designated day for drivers to take up two parking spaces to send a message for wider space
I am getting sick and tired of being forced to park between two cars only to have the cars next to me ding me. The solution would be simple. Make the parking slots wider. It would save a lot of cars from looking old before their time. Parking spaces should be designed wide enough so that cars can open their doors all the way on either side. It's not going to change, though, unless people make a statement. Would you support such a movement?

- I just park away from the others. Everyone tends to get as close to the store as possible. I don't mind walking.
- If you need a wider parking space then you are part of the parking problem! People just need to drive smaller cars.
- I agree with you all the way. They should make parking spaces bigger!
- I'd much rather support a movement for normal sized cars instead of many of these land yachts currently navigating the roadways. My car is probably a little above average size and I haven't found parking spot width to be that big of a deal. I also have a big 'ol Chevy duallie pickup and still don't have trouble with parking spot width. Exactly how big is your ride?
- It is a matter of using the space available to accomodate the most customers possible and no matter what a few people say, Wally World and anybody else is going to laugh at those that think they are making a statement. You are also in jeopardy of getting a ticket for being double parked if you try to make a statement! (I personally think all these H1's should be given a ticket as a general practice) My suggestion is that if you do not wish to be dinged, make sure your door trim is in place. (if no trim then look at getting some from a salvage yard that you can put on that somewhat fits the contour of the vehicle) I do not understand why the companies are getting away from door trim.... IF this is not an option, then I suggest that you park towards the rear of the parking lot and get a little bit of exercise
- I do not agree with such a movement or proposal. I think that small cars, motorcycles and green vehicles should be given preferential parking as an incentive for people to drive more fuel efficient vehicles. I think that states should start charging a stupid tax to people who continue to purchase and drive these ridiculously sized gas guzzlers, these are the same people who are complaining about there hummer doors getting dinged.
