Good Parking Spaces
any good lunch spots around the uw med center with parking?
My friend has started working over there and we occassionally do lunch. It means a drive from magnolia for me. So relatively quick service is required. Not a cloth napkins and silverware kind of place. Thanks

- The only place to eat near the UW Medical Center is at the UW Medical Center. Your next best option would be to eat at the University Village Shopping Plaza. This is a short drive but you'll have dozens of restaurants to choose from as well as a Barnes and Noble with Starbucks to top off your lunch. The shopping plaza has plenty of free parking (although it's a bit competitive at lunchtime). Here's how I would negotiate it: First, arrange to pick up your friend at the main drive-thru entrance of the Medical Center. Next, drive about 3/4 mile north along the same road where Husky Stadium sits. You'll see the University Village there.

- Some of the campus cafeterias on the UW campus have good meals, depending what you like to eat. If your friend has an "in" to the faculty lounge on campus, that has very good meals, it would be about a 10 minute walk from the UW Medical Center.
